Yooocan!

We love telling and hearing personal stories at Jason’s Connection! Recently we were contacted by an organization that is called Yooocan, a community for people with disabilities and their families to share stories, buy products and empower one another to do anything. The inspiration for yooocan was the founders son, born with a rare disease & complex disability. 

Hello! My name is Yoav Gaon and I am one of the co-founders of yooocan.com. I am also the father to Erez, an amazing boy born with a rare disease and complex disability. When Erez was born we didn’t really know what to expect. The odds were against us and the doctors were pessimistic. We understood that we needed to focus on his quality of life rather than trying to fix him through uncertain surgeries.

Once we started looking at the glass half full and searching for his small accomplishments and positive strengths, his beautiful soul came out and also his abilities.

Today Erez learns in a high-function class in special school. He is also a helpful hobby carpenter to me and loves to play Boccia. He loves to learn new songs, letters and numbers with his ipPad and spend time with our family and friends. Erez was the reason we found yooocan, the first inspiration driven community marketplace for people with disabilities and their families to read empowering stories and find activities, service providers and organizations in a one stop online place.
