Interviews
Jason’s Connection recently sat down with Kathleen Cail, Chair of the Cincinnati ReelAbilities Film Festival, which is taking place in Cincinnati, Ohio from February 27 through March 7, 2015.
Ms. Cail is a mother, consultant, and advocate. After having a daughter, born with a neuromuscular diagnosis, she began working to create meaningful inclusion that would foster community-based social opportunities for people who experience developmental disabilities.
In this interview (audio below), Ms. Cail discusses how she became involved in the disabilities community, tells the story of her family, and gives listeners a great preview of what is coming for this year’s Festival.
“Jason’s Connection is trying to build a community online…and it’s trying to provide access and knowledge about services to people…and it’s no different than what we’re doing with ReelAbilities…It’s about making people realize they are valued and appreciated, and helping those people around them to recognize that.”
